About me
Dr. Serena Halstead is a Performance Assessment Specialist. She holds a Doctorate in Education Leadership from the American College of Education, where she researched ways to improve minority student participation in advanced placement courses. Dr. Halstead excels in designing and delivering professional development for K-12 educators and mentoring beginning teachers. Her expertise includes assessment literacy, as well as writing and editing mathematics and science assessment items. As a Teaching Practice Evaluator and Reviewer for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST), she provides valuable feedback on teacher performance. Dr. Halstead has also served as an elementary and middle grades educator, earning the Kiwanis International Ander Dunham Educator of the Year Award.
